Fans are upset that a number of well-known South indian actresses have left Tollywood. The dramatic decrease in the number of telugu films starring shruti haasan, Samantha, kajal aggarwal, and Nayanthara has drawn criticism for their professional decisions. Despite being a member of Salaar, shruti haasan hasn't signed many new telugu films. For unspecified reasons, she also decided to leave Adivi Sesh's Dacoit. Given that she still prioritizes other businesses, her appearance in Hi Nanna felt like an afterthought.
After Kushi, Samantha, the former queen of telugu cinema, has virtually vanished, concentrating on bollywood and web series like Citadel and Rakht Brahmand. With Kannappa and indian 3, kajal aggarwal is making a comeback, although telugu fans aren't very interested in either movie. In a same vein, Nayanthara is more interested in other fields than her core fan base, even though she has a sizable tollywood following.
They are not alone in the trend; telugu spectators are becoming even more irritated as Raoja Hegde, rakul preet singh, Raashi Khanna, and rashmika mandanna all pursue careers in bollywood or other fields. Fans feel that actresses should at least balance their options and not totally leave tollywood, even though it's normal for them to pursue new markets. Is this the new standard, or will they ever come back with legitimate telugu projects?
