Taiwan President shared information about the planTaiwan President Lai Ching-te announced this after a national security meeting on thursday (March 13). He said, "Taiwan is planning to reinstate military judges to hear cases of its military personnel related to Chinese espionage. The law will be reviewed and amended if necessary to reinstate the military trial system." President Lai Ching-te said, "Military judges will once again be on the front line." He further said, "Military judges will work with prosecution and judicial agencies to hear criminal cases involving active military personnel related to treason, aiding the enemy, leaking classified information, negligence in work, disobedience and other military crimes." Taiwan's intelligence agency had previously said that a total of 64 people were caught in Chinese espionage cases in 2024, 48 in 2023 and 10 in 2022.
