Actor and Karate expert Shihan Hussaini died at Chennai after battling Cancer
Shihan Hussaini, an actor, karate practitioner, and archery expert, passed away early on tuesday following a battle with blood cancer. On facebook, his relatives verified the news of his death. His remains will be preserved in the High Command, his home in Chennai's Besant nagar, so that his family, the general public, and pupils can honor him. The last ceremonies will be conducted at Royapettah Ameerunisa Burial Ground after his body has been transported there.
"I'm very sad to inform that HU has left us. HU will be at the High Command, his residence at Besant nagar until evening (sic)," a facebook post from his family read. At first, the family had intended to transport his remains to madurai on march 25 at approximately 7:00 p.m. The last ceremonies, however, will be held today at approximately 4 p.m., per the doctor's recommendation.
Hussaini kept his social media profiles updated, chronicling his battle with cancer. The tamil Nadu government saw his posts and gave him Rs 5 lakh in financial aid for his cancer treatment. Hussaini declared his intention to donate his body for medical study just a few days before he passed away.
In 1986, he made his acting debut in Punnagai Mannan, starring Kamal Haasan. He later appeared in other tamil films, including Rajinikanth's Velaikaran and Bloodstone. He played the part of a karate instructor in Vijay's Badri. chennai City Gangsters and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, starring Vijay Sethupathi, were among his final acting endeavors.
