School and College: Sachin Katti, who completed his primary education at St. Xavier's High school, graduated from one of the best colleges in India, IIT Bombay, in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. After graduating, Sachin Katti went to MIT college in the United States. There, he earned both a master's degree and a doctorate. His doctoral thesis won him the prestigious George Sproles Award, which is given to outstanding employees at MIT.
He has also worked as a professor at Stanford university in wireless technology. He has also invented a method for efficient data transfer in wireless mode. Sachin Katti founded Kumu Networks with the aim of commercializing this technology. He was the CEO until 2014, and he received significant venture capital funding and conducted trials of his inventions with telecommunications companies such as Deutsche Telekom and Verizon. However, Kumu Networks was shut down in 2024.
Second company: In 2016, Sachin Katti co-founded a startup called Uhana. The company focused on improving mobile networks using cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology. The company was acquired by VMware in 2019. After this acquisition, Sachin served as the Vice President of Telco & Edge Strategy at VMware. Later, he joined Intel in 2021. Initially, he served as the Chief technology Officer of Intel's Network and Edge Group and later rose to its General Manager.
The trust that Sachin Katti has earned from Intel's top management over the past 5 years has now led to his appointment as Chief technology Officer and Chief AI Officer.
