Where Will We Store The Water? Owaisi Reacts On India Suspending The Indus Waters Treaty
Speaking to reporters following the Center's all-party gathering in New Delhi, Owaisi praised the cabinet Committee on Security's choices and stated that the government should not be reluctant to take action against the nation that provides sanctuary to terrorist groups.
Owaisi praised the government's audacious decision to halt the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960, but he questioned where the water would be stored. "The suspension of the Indus Water Treaty is excellent, but where will we store the water? Whatever the central government decides, we will back it. Owaisi declared, "This is not a political issue."
He went on to say that india was entitled to a forceful response to the pahalgam attack under international law. "The country that provides sanctuary to terrorist organizations may be targeted by the federal authorities. We can also impose sanctions on military sales to pakistan and conduct an air and naval blockade in self-defense in accordance with international law," he said.
According to insiders, the government acknowledged security flaws in the terror attack during the all-party conference.
He vehemently denounced the terrorists but also called for an end to "false propaganda" against Kashmiris and Valley youngsters. "I condemn the way the terrorists killed people by asking about their religion," he stated.
Owaisi had already responded to the atrocity by calling the pahalgam incident more painful and hazardous than the terror attacks in uri and Pulwama.
Top leaders such as Union Ministers JP Nadda, Kiren Rijiju, and S. Jaishankar, congress President mallikarjun Kharge, and lok sabha leader of the Opposition rahul gandhi attended the all-party meeting. A decision to remain unified in the battle against terrorism was reached at the end of the meeting.
