Following Meiyazhagan's popularity, karthi is currently starring in two projects: PS Mithran's Sardar 2 and Tamizh's untitled project. The crew is working toward a diwali release for Sardar 2, which is currently in the last phases of production. The prologue in hindi has now been formally released by the team working on this pan-Indian film.
Kollywood viewers responded well to the prologue of Sardar 2, which was released in tamil a few weeks ago. Hindi viewers are now giving the hindi version positive reviews as well. Although Sardar 1 was only available in tamil, the team is now promoting the sequel as a pan-Indian enterprise following its huge success.
With Kanguva, Suriya first aimed for pan-Indian popularity, but the film was a complete failure. With Retro, Suriya is attempting once more to create a pan-Indian hit after Kanguva. Here, karthi is going above and above to make Sardar 2 a pan-Indian hit. Karthi may be able to enter a new market in the states of North india if Sardar 2 proves to be a profitable endeavor.
