IAF: air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari becomes new Deputy air Force Chief, Guard of Honor given at Vayu Bhawan
IAF: air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari took over as Deputy air Force Chief on Friday. Earlier, he was the head of the Southwestern air Command and has received many military honors including the gold Medal from the President. Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari took over as the new Deputy air Force Chief on Friday. He replaced air Marshal S.P. Dharkar, who retired on 30 April.
Before taking charge, air Marshal Tiwari was posted as air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southwestern air Command (SWAC) located in Gandhinagar. He was given a guard of honor at the air Force Headquarters 'Vayu Bhawan'. Giving information on the ex, the indian air Force said, "Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, awarded with Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), and Vayu Sena Medal (VM), has taken over as Deputy air Force Chief on 2 May 2025."
He played an active role in many important operations during the Kargil War. In May 2023, he took over as the air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southwestern air Command.
