Op Sindoor - Uneasy calmness in Punjab after anxious night blackout
A day after pakistan launched a drone and missile attack in parts of the western front, punjab saw an uneasy stillness on friday morning, especially in the data-border regions of the Majha region. In the morning, there were no reports of new attacks. But in Amritsar, residents awoke to a 5 a.m. alarm from the deputy commissioner, urging them to remain indoors, followed by a second message stating that everything was fine.
In the data-face of increased tension, the authorities imposed a total blackout in the data-border districts of Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Gurdaspur, and Pathankot. At 5:30 am, power was restored in the majority of areas. Additionally, no substantial movement from Majha's data-border villages to safer locations was reported.
Nonetheless, residents of Ferozepur and Fazilka districts continued to migrate voluntarily from places close to the data-border. Blackouts were reported in the districts of Bathinda, Muktsar, Fazilka, Ferozepur, and Moga in the South Malwa region.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal of the Mohali district urged the people living in the sectors 45 and 47 that data-border chandigarh to stay inside and away from windows and glass panes. Following an air raid siren in nearby chandigarh, the advice was released. The government of ludhiana requested that citizens adhere to the blackout rigorously. Authorities cautioned residents against hoarding necessities in a number of areas, including ludhiana and Mohali.
