Independence Day 2025: Viewing Details For PM Modi's Red Fort Address
Ahead of the event, President Droupadi Murmu extended her greetings, highlighting the pride and enthusiasm with which all indians celebrate Independence Day and Republic Day.
Where to watch PM Modi's Live Address
The Independence Day parade and PM Modi’s address will be broadcast live on Doordarshan and streamed in real-time on the press Information Bureau's YouTube channel, as well as on X. The Prime Minister's office will also stream the event on its official YouTube channel. Additional viewing options include ddnews.gov.in, pmindia.gov.in, and the National Informatics Centre's dedicated site at independenceday.nic.in.
The ceremony will commence at 7:30 am with formal greetings, followed by the national anthem and a 21-gun salute. PM Modi will then deliver his speech from the red Fort, discussing key government priorities and future aspirations.
Celebrations at the red Fort
Upon arrival at the red Fort, PM Modi will be greeted by Defence minister Rajnath Singh and other officials. This year’s celebrations will highlight Operation Sindoor, with floral decorations and an emblem displayed at Gyanpath. Flying Officer Rashika Sharma will assist in unfurling the tricolour, followed by a floral tribute from indian Air Force helicopters.
Approximately 5,000 special invitees, including athletes and top-performing farmers, will participate in the celebrations, which will also feature a performance by cadets and volunteers singing the National Anthem.
