CM M.K. Stalin Provides ₹10 Lakh Compensation Each to Two Families Affected by Road Accidents

Madurai, Dec 24: In a gesture of support for families affected by tragic road accidents, Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK party President M.K. Stalin announced 10 lakh compensation to each of two families during a party public meeting in Madurai. The total relief amount of 20 lakh will aid the families of M. Ramadas from Vizhuppuram and K. Saravanakumar from Namakkal East, who lost their lives in separate road accidents.

Background of the Relief Initiative:

Earlier, 12 families of party members who had died in accidents received a total of 1.2 crore as part of the DMK’s welfare initiative.

During the DMK general body meeting in madurai on June 1, 2025, cm stalin had stated that if any party member dies unexpectedly in a road accident before the age of 21, the party would provide 10 lakh as compensation to the family, helping them with education and family support.

Details of the Ongoing Welfare Program:

The latest announcement adds to a continuing program where families of deceased party members receive financial support to ease their hardships.

This initiative emphadata-sizes DMK’s commitment to social welfare and support for party families, ensuring that sudden tragedies do not leave families financially vulnerable.

Previous Beneficiaries:
 Among previous beneficiaries of the scheme are families from various districts, including:

Erode, Thiruvarur, Cuddalore, Kanchipuram, Namakkal, Tirunelveli, and Salem, who had lost their family members in road accidents.

Families of members such as K. Muthamizchelvan, V. Saravanan, M. Vignesh, Kuppusamy, K.A. Rambirashad, K. Sarannaraj, S. Prakasham, P. Megalingam, and R. Murugan had already received financial support under this initiative.
