Subramaniam Flyover”, in honour of the late statesman and former Union minister C. Subramaniam.The flyover stretches from Aathupalam to the Ukkadam Junction via Oppanakkara Street, one of the busiest traffic corridors in Coimbatore. The chief minister stated that naming the flyover after C. Subramaniam is a tribute to his immense contributions to the nation and to tamil Nadu, particularly in the fields of agriculture, public administration, and economic development.C. Subramaniam is widely remembered as the architect of India’s Green Revolution, which transformed the country into a food-surplus nation.
