Chennai: Higher education minister Kovi Chezhian has announced that the appointment of Vice-Chancellors to various universities in tamil Nadu will be carried out soon after holding consultations with chief minister M.K. Stalin.Speaking to reporters in Chennai, the minister said that the state government is committed to ensuring transparency, academic excellence, and administrative efficiency in higher education institutions. He emphadata-sized that discussions with the chief minister are underway to finalize suitable candidates for the vacant Vice-Chancellor posts in several state universities.Kovi Chezhian noted that delays in appointments have affected the smooth functioning of universities and assured that the government is taking necessary steps to resolve the issue at the earliest. He added that experienced and qualified academicians who can contribute to improving the quality of higher education will be selected.The minister also reiterated the government’s focus on strengthening universities, promoting research, and enhancing opportunities for students. An official announcement regarding the appointments is expected soon after the consultation process is completed.
