Chennai: tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. stalin on wednesday asserted that the Union Government’s attempts to create hurdles for the DMK-led state government cannot conceal tamil Nadu’s steady progress and development. He made these remarks while speaking at the India Today television conclave held in Chennai.

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said that despite what he described as consistent “obstructions” from the Union government, tamil Nadu continues to move forward on key development indicators. “No matter how much pressure or difficulty is created, tamil Nadu’s growth cannot be hidden or suppressed,” he stated.

Stalin highlighted the state’s achievements in sectors such as education, healthcare, industrial investment, social welfare, and infrastructure. He pointed to tamil Nadu’s strong economic performance, its ability to attract major investments, and its leading position in several social development indices.

The chief minister also referred to issues such as the delay in the release of funds, disputes over tax devolution, and differences on policy matters between the state and the Union Government. He emphadata-sized that while political differences may exist, the welfare of the people remains the priority of his administration.

“Our government is committed to inclusive development and social justice. We are focused on delivering results for the people, irrespective of political challenges,” stalin said.

Political analysts note that the Chief Minister’s speech comes at a time when tensions between the state and the Union government have been a recurring topic in public discourse. His remarks are seen as part of a broader effort to underline tamil Nadu’s autonomy and assert its development record.

The speech has sparked discussions across political circles, with supporters praising the government’s performance and opposition parties responding critically to the allegations against the Union Government.

As the political climate intensifies ahead of upcoming elections, the Chief Minister’s comments are expected to further shape the narrative around state–centre relations and tamil Nadu’s development trajectory.
