Global AI Summit: india Hosts AI Impact Summit, pakistan Not Invited


Fourth Global AI Summit in New Delhi


After editions in the UK, South Korea, and France, the fourth Global AI Summit will be held in New Delhi.


India has invited representatives from over 100 countries, including heads of state, ministers, diplomats, technology experts, and entrepreneurs.


Around 20 heads of state and ministerial delegations from 45 countries are expected to participate.


More than 200,000 participants have reportedly registered for the event.


Pakistan Not on the Guest List


India has not invited Pakistan to the summit.


The Ministry of External Affairs clarified that the focus is on collaborating with countries data-aligned with India’s vision of responsible and human-centered AI.

Neighboring nations such as China, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Maldives have been invited.


Global Focus on Responsible AI


Discussions will center on safe, democratic, inclusive, and impactful artificial intelligence.


Policymakers and global tech leaders will address pressing issues such as AI governance and deepfakes.


The United Nations Secretary-General and senior international officials are expected to participate.


An outcome and vision document will be released after the summit.


Nvidia CEO Cancels Visit


Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, has canceled his trip due to unavoidable circumstances.


Nvidia, a key player in the AI ecosystem known for high-performance GPU servers, will send a senior delegation instead.


Showcasing India’s Indigenous AI Strength


A major highlight will be indigenous foundation models developed by 12 startups under the india AI Mission.


Companies like Sarvam AI and Socket AI Labs will present AI models supporting over 22 indian languages.


These models are tailored to indian datasets and cultural diversity, strengthening India’s AI presence globally.


AI for Climate and Development


Arunabha Ghosh of the Council on Energy, Environment and Water emphadata-sized AI’s role in tackling climate change.


AI can help build agricultural resilience and solve complex global challenges.


Through the AI Impact Summit 2026, india aims to position itself as a leading voice of the AI revolution, particularly for the Global South.
