Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin expressed deep pride in the tamil language, saying that there is
great delight in affectionately calling out “Tamilē” (O Tamil)! in a message posted on his social media.

Tamilē, may you live long! Today, on international Mother language Day, no matter how many characteristics we describe about our vibrant tamil language — which countless people have preserved at great sacrifice — there is immense joy in calling out ‘Tamilē’.”He thanked all those who have popularised these words and stressed the
importance of taking pride in the tamil language.
