8 Arrested for Planning Attack in India ..

Delhi police arrested eight individuals from tamil Nadu and West bengal for allegedly being part of a terror conspiracy with suspected links to handlers in pakistan and extremist groups based in Bangladesh.


Among those detained are Mizanur Rahman, Mohammed Shabat, Umar, Mohammed Litan, Mohammed Shahid, and Mohammed Ujjal. Six were held in tamil Nadu, while two were arrested in West Bengal. Officials believe one of the accused may be a Bangladeshi national.


Garment Factory workers Under Scanner


The six suspects in tamil Nadu were employed at garment manufacturing units in:


Uthukuli (2)


Palladam (3)


Tirumuruganpoondi (1)



Investigators allege the accused concealed their identities using forged Aadhaar cards while working in these factories.


During the operation, authorities seized:


8 mobile phones


16 SIM cards



Police suspect the devices were used for communication with cross-data-border handlers and coordinating activities.


Social media & Reconnaissance Allegations


Sources claim the accused allegedly:


Posted content supporting Pakistan-based terror outfits on social media.


Conducted reconnaissance in multiple cities.


They were linked to “Free Kashmir” posters appearing in parts of Delhi.



Authorities are investigating whether these actions were part of a broader coordinated plan.


Tamil Nadu police Action & delhi Probe


Initial arrests were carried out by the tamil Nadu police, after which the suspects were transported to delhi by train for further questioning.


The investigation remains ongoing, with agencies probing possible international connections.


Heightened Security in the National Capital


The arrests come amid intelligence inputs suggesting that Lashkar-e-Taiba may be planning attacks in Delhi.


Sensitive areas under alert include:


Red Fort


Chandni Chowk and nearby religious sites.



Agencies are examining potential links between the suspects and the november 10 car blast near red Fort, which killed 12 people and injured several others.


Security agencies continue interrogations to determine the full scope of the alleged terror network.
