🚆 From March 1, Book Train Tickets Through Only One App

G GOWTHAM
Starting March 1, 2026, the way you book train tickets online is changing. indian Railways is retiring multiple separate apps — including the UTS mobile app and many functions of the old irctc apps — and moving all ticketing services to a single unified app called RailOne.

So instead of using different apps for unreserved tickets, reserved tickets, platform tickets, train status, etc., passengers will now have one platform for all services.

📲 What RailOne Is

RailOne is the new “super-app” for indian Railways. It combines in one place:

  • Reserved ticket booking
  • Unreserved (general) ticket booking
  • Platform tickets
  • Live train running status
  • PNR status & coach info
  • Food-on-track ordering
  • Complaint submission and assistance features
Essentially everything you used to do in separate apps will now be in RailOne instead.

📉 What Happens to irctc & UTS?

  • The UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) mobile app — widely used for general tickets, platform passes, season passes and more — will stop working after february 29, 2026.
  • Many ticketing functions previously available through irctc apps will also be moved or integrated into RailOne.
This doesn’t necessarily mean irctc will disappear entirely — but you won’t need to use multiple apps for tickets anymore. RailOne becomes the primary official wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital ticketing platform.

📌 What You Should Do

✔️ Download RailOne before march 1
✔️ Log in with your existing irctc or UTS credentials (you won’t have to make a new account)
✔️ Familiarise yourself with the interdata-face so you’re ready when ticketing switches over

💡 Additional Perks (For Now)

To encourage people to switch to RailOne, indian Railways is offering a up to ~3% discount on unreserved ticket bookings made via wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital payments until mid-July 2026.

📍 In Summary

  • ❌ The old UTS mobile app will be discontinued after February 29, 2026.
  • 📱 From March 1, 2026, train tickets (reserved & unreserved) will be booked exclusively through RailOne.
  • 📍 Mange all your indian Railways travel needs — from bookings to live status — in one place.
