CM M.K. Stalin Inaugurates 38 New Substations Worth ₹1970.57 Crore

Chennai, india — tamil Nadu chief minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated 38 new electrical substations, part of a major initiative to strengthen the state’s power infrastructure. The project is valued at 1970.57 crore.

Upgrade of Existing Substations

In addition to the new substations, upgrades were carried out at 110 existing substations.

These upgrades involved enhancing the capacity of transformers to a total of 4649 MVA, improving electricity supply reliability.

Significance of the Initiative

The expansion and modernization of substations aim to ensure uninterrupted power supply to households and industries across tamil Nadu.

Officials noted that this development will support economic growth and industrial expansion by reducing power outages.

CM Stalin’s Remarks

CM stalin emphadata-sized the government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s electrical infrastructure.

He stated that the project reflects a focus on sustainable development and improving public services for citizens.
