Iran Crisis: maharashtra Launches Emergency Helpline for Stranded Citizens in West Asia

The maharashtra government has launched an emergency whatsapp helpline (+971 50 365 4357) to assist residents stranded in West Asia due to the escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

The crisis intensified after hostilities between United States, Israel, and iran disrupted regional stability and aviation services.

Iranian airspace has been closed amid the conflict, leading to major flight disruptions across West Asia and leaving hundreds of passengers from maharashtra stranded.

Despite the tense situation, officials have confirmed that all stranded citizens from maharashtra are safe.

The Chief Minister’s office (CMO) announced that chief minister devendra fadnavis is personally monitoring developments related to the crisis.

The chief minister is in constant communication with various state and central agencies to ensure the safety and timely assistance of affected citizens.

The central government is extending full cooperation and support in coordination efforts.

State minister Girish Mahajan has been assigned the responsibility of overseeing and coordinating relief operations.

The helpline has been launched in collaboration with the indian People's Forum in dubai to provide on-ground assistance.

Citizens requiring help are urged to contact the whatsapp number for immediate support, guidance, and updates.

The conflict has led to widespread closure of air routes across West Asia, significantly affecting commercial flight operations.

US President donald trump stated that heavy bombing of iran would continue for as long as necessary, further escalating tensions in the region.

As a result, passengers traveling to and from West Asian destinations have data-faced cancellations, delays, and extended stays abroad.

Officials are currently compiling data on stranded individuals from different districts of maharashtra to streamline evacuation and assistance plans.

Among those stranded is congress MP kalyan Kale from Jalna.

His brother, Jagannath Kale, confirmed that they had traveled to dubai on Friday, just a day after the conflict began.

The maharashtra government continues to closely monitor the evolving geopolitical situation while prioritizing the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad.
