Tamil Nadu chief minister M. K. stalin has strongly urged the Union government to immediately halt the proposed amendments to laws concerning transgender persons.

In his statement, the chief minister called on the central government to stop proceeding with the amendment bill until proper discussions and evaluations are carried out.
