Temple Puja Turns into Item Song Hell: Half-Nakéd Dancer Twerks While Devotees Watch – How Much Lower Can Tamil Nadu Sink?

SIBY JEYYA
Something is seriously rotten inside tamil Nadu’s temples, and this 27-second video just ripped the veil off.

A young woman in a skin-tight crop top and tiny denim shorts is grinding, twerking, and thrusting on stage like it’s a late-night club – right in front of a massive temple festival banner. A male dancer grabs her waist, they spin, bodies pressed close, confetti flying, crowd cheering. She smiles, throws her arms up, bends over – the whole vulgar routine straight out of an item number. This isn’t some secret rave. This is supposedly a “temple function” in broad daylight… well, nightlight.

And the question everyone’s screaming: Are these kinds of vulgar dance programs still allowed at temple events in tamil Nadu?

Sacred turned sleazyTemples are meant for bhajans and aarti, not pelvic thrusts and belly-baring. Yet this performance is happening right under the gods’ noses.

Public spectacle of shame: Families, kids, elderly devotees – everyone’s watching this “entertainment” at what should be a holy celebration.

Open defiance: Courts have repeatedly cracked down on obscene dances at temple festivals. But the video proves the filth is still very much alive and kicking.

Hypocrisy on steroids: The same crowd that screams “protect our culture” is fine with turning sacred spaces into soft-porn stages.

This isn’t isolated. It’s a pattern. Viral outrage is exploding, but so is the tired defense: “It’s just fun” or “old temples had sculptures too.” Yeah, except those sculptures weren’t live dancers dry-humping in shorts for claps and cash.

Wake up, tamil Nadu. If your temples are now hosting this garbage, don’t be shocked when faith dies in the dirt. Time to draw the line – or admit the sacred is officially for sale.
