Is This Pooja Hegde’s Toughest Phase?

SIBY JEYYA

⚡ A Career at a Breaking Point

Over the past few years, pooja hegde hasn’t been short on screen presence — she’s been everywhere. From Radhe Shyam to Beast, Acharya, Cirkus, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and more recently Deva and Retro — the lineup looks impressive on paper.

The outcome? Not so much.

One after another, these films failed to make the impact expected, turning what should have been a dominant phase into a worrying pattern. And in an industry that measures relevance through results, that pattern matters.

There was hope pinned on Jana Nayagan, especially given its scale and association with Vijay. But delays, censorship issues, and an unexpected leak have already dented its momentum before release — not exactly the comeback platform it was expected to be.

On the bollywood side, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was supposed to reset the narrative. Instead, its first glimpse triggered mixed to negative reactions, with criticism around AI usage dominating early conversations. Even though the makers clarified that AI won’t feature in the final product, the initial impression has already shaped public perception.

And that’s where things get serious.

Because right now, the conversation around pooja hegde isn’t about her range or presence — it’s about whether she can deliver a hit again.

That leaves Kanchana 4 and Dulquer Salmaan’s DQ41 as potential turning points — projects that now carry more weight than they originally did.

Yet, even amid the criticism, one thing hasn’t changed: her screen appeal. The glimpse of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai still drew attention to her presence and charisma — a reminder that the raw ingredients are still there.

Now it’s not about visibility.

It’s about validation.

Because the next hit won’t just be another film — it could decide the direction of her career from here.
