TVS Akula 310 bike launch soon
TVS will launch of its indigenously built super sport bike TVS Akula 310 before the end of 2016. Since the bike is developed in association with BMW, it shares the vital components of BMW G 310 R, such as the 313cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor and the trellis steel frame. This bike was showcased in the recent auto expo and it is expected to be launched in 2017.
The bike could be priced somewhere around Rs 1.6 to 1.8 lakh. Keeping the price in mind TVS has decided to forego certain features which are already displayed at the expo such as upside-down (USD) front forks, the ram air induction system and the data collection cameras. It will not have the carbon fibre frame. However there are lots of interesting features expected to be implemented such as the digital instrument cluster with the 0-100kmph timing feature, rear-set footpegs, clip-on handlebars, etc.

The bike offers wind deflection which reduces the turbulence and makes the bike more aerodynamic in nature.This bike produces a peak power of 34PS and 28Nm of torque via 6-speed transmission. The bike comes with Pirelli rubber wrapped wheels which are very robust just as its younger version RTR 200 4V.
