Santoor Becomes Leading Soap Brand: The CEO of wipro Consumer Care, a company working in the FMCG and lighting segment, said that he has a presence in 20 countries across the world. This is the reason that 52 percent of the earnings in the earnings figures have come from abroad and 48 percent of the earnings have been done in India.
Santoor, the soap brand of wipro Consumer Care and Lighting (WCCL), has set a new record in terms of earnings. According to the figures of the Financial Year-22, Santoor has become a soap brand with a value of more than 2300 crores. According to the data released by the company, wipro Consumer Care and Lighting has earned a revenue of 8,634 crores till 31 march of FY-22.
Vineet Agarwal, CEO, wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, gave information about the earnings and value of the company and the Santoor brand. He told that in the domestic business, Santoor is consistently second in the soap brand category. He told that in the financial year 2022, by the end of march 31, Santoor has become a soap brand earning Rs 2300 crore.
Yardley's earnings rise 30 percentThe company working in FMCG and lighting segment has extended the Santoor soap brand. The body lotion, handwash and body wash categories have also been added to this brand. Apart from Santoor, the company's premium personal care product Yardley has grown by 30 percent in the last year.
Possibility of further improvement in businessVineet Aggarwal said that the earnings figures are likely to improve further in view of the possibility of reduction in palm oil prices and the fall in crude oil. wipro Consumer Care is doing business in 20 countries around the world. Better earnings figures are coming from abroad than in India. In FY-21, the company had a business of 8,400 crores from Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
