The top recruiter in Retail business in the FY 2022!!!Reliance Industries, the country's largest company and one of the largest employers, created 2.32 lakh (2,32,822) new jobs in the financial year 2022. After which the workforce of the company increased to 3,42,982. According to the RIL Annual Report, out of the total employees, RIL employees are 22,642, reliance Retail 2,15,614 and jio (RIL jio Employees) has 83,347 employees. There has been an increase of 56 per cent in new recruitments for RIL and 132 per cent for retail branches as compared to the previous year. RIL's retail business continued to expand offline as well as online and created over 1,50,000 jobs during the year. The company has witnessed strong recruitment for the retail business amid multiple tie-ups with global brands, the opening of new outlets and plans to open many more in the next few months.
$80 billion investment in renewable energyMukesh Ambani chairs and runs reliance Industries, which has interests in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecommunications and retail. About 60 per cent of Reliance's revenue comes from oil refineries and petrochemicals, however, the group is reducing its dependence on oil refineries by diversifying into retail, telecom and technology. Ambani is taking reliance on green energy. The company will invest $80 billion in renewable energy over the next 10-15 years and build a new campus next to its refinery. RIL said it will increase investment in green energy, which it recently announced to play a leading role in the world's transition to clean energy.
