Adani Group to buy 29.2% stake in Ndtv...


Adani Group led by gautam adani is now going to play its stake in the media sector as well. According to a report, adani Group media Group is going to buy 29.18% stake in NDTV. At present, the NDTV Group has three national tv channels and several wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital platforms. NDTV has been one of the leading media groups in the country.


In a press release issued by the adani Group, it has been told that Vishvapradhan Commercial Private Limited (VCPL) is a subsidiary company of AMG media Network Limited (AMNL). Now VCPL has started the exercise of buying 99.5 percent shares of NDTV's promoter group company RRPR Holding Private Limited. This, as per SEBI rules, will create an opportunity for 26 per cent stake in NDTV.


100 percent ownership of the company AMNL is with adani Enterprises Limited. According to the adani Group's press release, NDTV had a revenue of Rs 421 crore in FY 2022 which included EBITDA of Rs 123 crore and net profit of Rs 85 crore.

RRPR is the promoter company of NDTV, which holds 29.18 percent shares of NDTV. Presently there are three channels running NDTV India, NDTV 24X7 and NDTV Profit. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Pugalia, CEO, AMG media Networks Ltd. said, "This will achieve a major milestone in AMNL's journey and usher in a new era of media across platforms."
