Kokila Chokkanathan
These bite-data-sized chocolate donuts are perfect for snacking, parties, or breakfast treats. Soft, chocolaty, and fun to make, they’re easier to bake at home than full-data-size donuts.

Ingredients (Makes 20–24 donut holes)

Dry Ingredients

· All-purpose flour: 1½ cups

· Cocoa powder: ¼ cup (unsweetened)

· Baking powder: 2 tsp

· Baking soda: ½ tsp

· Salt: ½ tsp

· Sugar: ½ cup (or coconut sugar for healthier option)

Wet Ingredients

· Milk (or oat milk for dairy-free): ½ cup

· Egg: 1 large

· Melted butter or coconut oil: 3 tbsp

· Vanilla extract: 1 tsp

Optional Topping

· Powdered sugar, cocoa powder, or cinnamon sugar

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

· Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

· Grease a mini muffin pan or use silicone molds for easy removal.

Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients

· In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

· In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Step 4: Combine

· Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.

· Batter will be slightly thick but smooth.

Step 5: Fill Molds

· Spoon batter into mini muffin pan, filling each mold ¾ full.

Step 6: Bake

· Bake for 10–12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

· Allow to cool slightly before removing from molds.

Step 7: Optional Topping

· Roll in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, or cinnamon sugar for added flavor.

Pro Tips

1. Don’t overmix the batter—overmixing makes donut holes dense.

2. Use silicone molds for easy removal and even baking.

3. Add mini chocolate chips to batter for extra chocolatey bites.

4. Serve warm for soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Health Benefits

· Baking instead of frying reduces calories and unhealthy fats.

· Cocoa powder provides antioxidants and supports heart health.

· Using oat milk or coconut sugar can make them slightly healthier for kids and adults.

· Small, portion-controlled donut holes satisfy sweet cravings without overindulgence.
