🍩 Maple Glazed Cinnamon Twist Donuts

These twisted donuts are soft, sweet, and packed with warm cinnamon flavor. The maple glaze gives them a sticky, irresistible finish—perfect for breakfast or an afternoon treat.

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 Donuts)

For the Dough

· All-purpose flour: 2 cups

· Baking powder: 2 tsp

· Salt: ½ tsp

· Sugar: ¼ cup

· Milk (or oat milk): ½ cup

· Egg: 1 large

· Melted butter or coconut oil: 3 tbsp

· Vanilla extract: 1 tsp

For the cinnamon sugar Coating

· cinnamon powder: 1 tsp

· Sugar: 2 tbsp

· Melted butter: 1 tbsp (for brushing before sugar)

For the Maple Glaze

· Powdered sugar: ½ cup

· Maple syrup: 3 tbsp

· Milk (or oat milk): 1–2 tsp

· Vanilla extract: ½ tsp

Step 1: Prepare the Dough

1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

2. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.

3. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients to form a soft dough. Do not overmix.

Step 2: Shape the Twists

1. Roll dough into a rectangular sheet about ½ inch thick.

2. Cut strips of 1–1.5 inches wide.

3. Twist each strip a few times and lay on a greased baking tray or silicone mat.

Step 3: Bake

· Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

· Bake twists for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.

Step 4: Add cinnamon Sugar

1. Brush warm twists with melted butter.

2. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly over the twists.

Step 5: Add Maple Glaze

1. Mix powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

2. Drizzle over cooled cinnamon twists or dip the top into the glaze.

3. Let set for a few minutes before serving.
