Clash of the cops leaves one dead.
The police in Kathua district in Jammu Region initiated inquiries into a fellow staff's suspected murder of a head policeman. The police apprehended the officer who was said to have fired the dead and brought the necessary charges under pressure. Mohammad Yunis was said to have slain a head police officer by Iqbal Singh's colleague shortly after their return from a field duel on wednesday morning.
The reason for Yunis's fellow losing his cool bullets in his body is not apparent. What led to the heated speech exchange is also unknown.
In the first and mid-years of activism, but significantly decreased in the last half of the decade, fratricide cases, in which a man killed his superior or subordinate, were prevalent in Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior district officers stated that after returning to their job barracks in Kathua Co. police Line, the two police officers exchanged hot words about anything.
A police statement told policeman Iqbal, who was intoxicated, that he had opened fire on the multi-bullet wounded Mohammad Younis. Mohammad Younis was rushed to a neighbouring hospital but doctors said that he was dead when he arrived. Iqbal Singh was detained and more investigations are being conducted.
"In a fit of wrath, one shot with an official rifle at another, leaving the other dead," one official stated.
