Mumbai police have recorded the confession of key witness prabhakar Choil for more than eight hours in connection with the alleged drug seizure case involving ncp officials and alleged extortion of millions of rupees by aryan Khan.

Prabhakar Choil, one of the key witnesses in the case, has filed an affidavit on the social networking site alleging that a Rs 25 crore bribe was negotiated for the release of actor Shah Rukh Khan's son aryan Khan, who was arrested in connection with a drug deal on a luxury ship. This caused great repercussions.

Sameer Wankhede, regional director of the mumbai Narcotics Division, recently wrote a letter to the mumbai Metropolitan police Commissioner asking him not to take action on the basis of false allegations against him in the case. 

However, the mumbai Narcotics Division has ordered a vigilance inquiry into the matter. It was announced that the Northern Regional Deputy Director-General of the Narcotics Prevention Unit, Gnanaswara Singh, will conduct the meeting. 

It was announced that a vigilance inquiry would be conducted not only against Wankhede but also against Prabhakar.

According to a senior mumbai City police official, prabhakar Choil, a key witness, appeared at the city police station in mumbai on tuesday evening. The task of recording his confession was completed at 3 a.m. Wednesday. 

After recording the confession, prabhakar Choil left the office of Assistant Commissioner of police Azad Maidan early wednesday morning. He said he had been given protection by the mumbai City police following his confession.

Why the investigation

Meanwhile, the mumbai police, which has spoken on the issue of 25 crore people, has received four complaints against mumbai Regional director of Narcotics Prevention Samir Wankhede and other officials and has launched an investigation to verify these allegations.

CCTV footage

 Prabhakar went to various places in the chain and police teams are also checking the locations of the spoken mobile phone numbers and CCTV footage. Officials said appropriate action would be taken after the inquiry, meanwhile, the mumbai police had received two complaints against maharashtra State minister Nawab Malik.

Refusing Wankhede

Minister Malik levelled several allegations against Samir Wankhede. He was also accused of illegally tapping the phone and forging his caste documents to get a job in the federal government. He also accused bollywood celebrities of extorting crores of rupees. But Wankhede, a narcotics officer, has categorically denied all charges, including extortion.
