A 20-year-old undertrial prisoner lodged in Begusarai Mandal Jail died mysteriously on Saturday. After this incident, there was a stir inside the jail, after which the jail administration got the post-mortem done in a hurry and sent the body home late at night, after which the family is raising questions on this action of the jail administration.

A sensational case has come to light of an undertrial prisoner lodged in Begusarai Mandal Jail committing suicide by hanging himself inside the jail. After the suicide, a big question has also been raised on the care of the prisoners lodged in the jail. The undertrial prisoner has been identified as Ranveer Kumar Tanti, about 20 years old son of Parmanand Tanti, a resident of Ghaghra in Bakhri police station area. It is said that Ranveer Kumar was lodged in the Mandal Jail since the 14th of last month. Ranveer had a case registered against him under Arms Act along with kidnapping a girl in Ghaghra of Bakhri police station area in a love affair, in which the police arrested the mother and son and sent them to jail.
It is said that after counting the prisoners in Mandal jail on saturday evening, one prisoner was found missing. There was a stir in the jail administration after the prisoner was found missing, after which the jail administration started searching for the prisoner inside the jail, then the prisoner was found hanging from the window in a corner of the jail. As soon as the senior officials of the jail got the information about the death of the prisoner, he was hurriedly sent to Begusarai Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. After the death of the undertrial prisoner in Mandal jail, the role of the jail administration has also come under suspicion.
This is also because how did the jail administration inform the family members several hours after the incident. Not only this, the body was sent to his house after post-mortem late at night. Why did the jail administration not wait for the family members of the deceased till morning? What was the problem of the jail administration in getting the post-mortem done after the family members arrived. There are many such questions which are bringing the jail administration under suspicion.
