After the death of Late chief minister Jayalalitha, the Kodanad murders took entire tamil Nadu politics by storm. Former Tehelka Editor Matthew reported Ex-CM EPS was behind all these deaths and EPS denied those allegations and DMK who was the opposition party at that time demanded an SIT probe into the issue. So, what exactly happened on that fateful day at Kodanad?
In the wee hours of april 24, 2017, few masked guys enter Late cm Jayalalitha's favorite retreat place and they initially murdered security who was standing in Gate No.10 10 and they stuffed his mouth with cloth and they hanged him upside down from a tree and they sliced his throat brutally and later they moved to Gate No, 8 and killed another security guard and they killed few more people who were guarding.
All the CCTV cameras were completely removed before these brutal murders and later police filed a charge sheet stating only 5 watches and a Crystal showpiece was taken away from the rooms used by Sasikala and Late cm Jayalalitha.
The case got murkier as Dinesh Kumar who worked in the Computer section of the 800-acres estate committed suicide on July 3, 2017, and several questions were raised.
Three days later, the first accused got arrested and police suspected he was the gang leader and the very next day 7 other criminals were arrested and during secret interrogation, Jayalalitha's driver Kanagaraj name popped up.
When police tried to arrest him, he was killed in a Road accident and this added to more controversy. police later arrested the other remaining gang members in the case who were involved in the burglary and murders. Now, as DMK came into rule, Sayan is being inquired by a special crime police team and once again EPS' name is being spilled out.
