Four Afghan women were seen holding handmade paper placards on a roadway in Kabul while surrounded by Taliban gunmen in a video published on twitter by Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad.
Women could be heard demanding their rights, which included social security, the right to work, the right to education, and the right to vote.
"All of our accomplishments throughout the years, as well as our basic rights," the ladies were heard stating in the video.
Meanwhile, TOLO news, one of Afghanistan's biggest news organisations, has reintroduced female anchors after they were momentarily removed with the Taliban's arrival.
After the Taliban gained control of Kabul on Sunday, many women fled Afghanistan, afraid for their lives and safety. A woman from Kabul who landed in delhi expressed concern for the safety of her friends back home and their well being. women were also said to have been kidnapped and forced to marry Taliban members. The Taliban has denied such allegations, claiming that they will respect women's rights while adhering to Islamic law.
