DNA vaccine from India things you need to know!

The COVID-19 dna vaccine was developed in india for the first time. Zydus Cadila developed the ZyCoV-D vaccine in conjunction with the Department of Biotechnology. india is the first country to produce a COVID-19 dna vaccine.

Zydus Cadila's COVID-19 vaccine ZyCoV-D received an emergency use authorization from the Central drugs Standard Control Organization, which will help us improve our inoculation procedure (CDSCO). In July, Zydus Cadila requested an emergency use authorization for ZyCoV-D.

Even children as young as 12 years old can receive this vaccination. The effectiveness rate was determined to be 66.6 per cent in a late-stage experiment involving over 28,000 participants across the country, according to CDSCO. According to reports, this is India's largest COVID-19 vaccination study to date.

The ZyCoV-D vaccine is given intradermally using PharmaJet, a needle-free applicator that guarantees pleasant immunisation. This will make it easier to deliver the vaccination to children. This vaccination will be given in three doses, with the second dosage given 28 days after the first dose and the third dose given 56 days after the first.

The ZyCoV-D vaccine, according to scientists, employs a piece of genetic material from the COVID-19 virus that offers instructions to create the particular protein that the human immune system recognises and responds to as dna or RNA.

Unlike Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which must be stored at extremely low temperatures, the ZyCoV-D vaccine may be stored between 2-8 degrees Celsius and is stable at temperatures as high as 25 degrees Celsius for at least three months.

The ZyCoV-D vaccine, according to the manufacturer, is effective against new COVID-19 variations such as the fatal Delta form. The business aims to produce 100 million to 120 million doses each year and has started storing them.
