GatiShakti, according to the government, would focus on integrated planning and coordination of all infrastructure connection initiatives. All of the projects on the platform are in GIS mode, including high-resolution satellite imagery, infrastructure, utilities, administrative data-borders, land, and logistics, and are expected to be finished by 2024-25. For lakhs of young people in the country, the initiative will be a source of future career possibilities.
"In the coming days, we will announce the PM Gati shakti Plan, a national infrastructure master plan worth Rs. 100 lakh crore that will lay the groundwork for holistic infrastructure and provide an integrated route for our economy," PM Modi added.
GatiShakti seeks to improve industrial productivity, competitiveness, and promote local manufacturers while also assisting in the development of new economic zones. Under the chairmanship of the cabinet secretary, an empowered committee of secretaries will be created to approve any revisions to the master plan that are needed. The strategy seeks to increase the "global competitiveness of local products by lowering logistical costs and strengthening supply chains," as well as provide various job possibilities.
