Following the rescue operation, the commander of the three forces, Mr. Bipin Rawat, his wife, and 11 other army personnel were killed. The group captain of the aircraft, Mr.Varun Singh was the only person rescued alive and is currently in intensive care. The director of Forensics also gave detailed advice and suggestions at this consultation meeting. A case under Section 174 (Criminal Procedure Code) No. 129/2021 of Malebennur police station has been registered in this regard. Mr. muthu Manikkam Additional Superintendent of police Nilgiris district has been appointed for this investigation. So far 26 witnesses have been questioned.
