GO First flight suffers bird hit!!!A Go First airlines plane going to chandigarh has made an emergency landing after returning to ahmedabad airport on Thursday. Bird hit has been cited as the reason for the return of this aircraft, which took off from ahmedabad itself.
Thursday morning incidentGo First flight number G8911 took off from ahmedabad airport for chandigarh at 6.18 am on Thursday. After the A320 aircraft reached an altitude of about 14,000 feet, the pilot suspected a bird hit. The pilot informed ATC and the plane was diverted back to ahmedabad airport. After about an hour, around 7.20, the plane landed again at ahmedabad airport itself.DGCA director General Arun Kumar said that there is a possibility of the bird colliding with the left engine of the aircraft. This incident is being investigated. On the other hand, the management of Go First has not issued any statement in this matter.
