E-commerce company amazon India has come under the target of the government after the news of retrenchment of employees came to the fore. The Ministry of Labor has issued summons to the company. In this notice sent on the complaint of the employees union, the company has been asked to present its stand. Let us tell you that amazon had talked about the layoff of 10,000 employees in the past. The deadline till 30 November

A mail has been sent to the employees from Amazon. In this, it has been given a deadline to complete the separation process by 30 November. In the notice sent by the Ministry of Labor, it has been said that the amazon officer himself or an authorized representative will have to be present in the Labor Department office with all the evidence and documents on the fixed time and day. 

Explain that Union Nascent Information technology Employees Senate (NITES), an organization of technical employees, has sent a complaint to the Ministry of Labour. It was said that the company is not following the retrenchment rules. NITES had said in a complaint sent to Union Labor minister Bhupendra Yadav that amazon is pressurizing its employees to leave the company and an inquiry should be done in this matter.

Rules not being followed

In the complaint given by the employees, it has been said that the company is not following the retrenchment rules. In the mail sent by the company, it has been said that employees are no longer needed on many posts, so some rolls are being abolished. The tenure of such employees will be till january 17, 2023 and after that the service will be considered terminated. At the same time, under the Industrial Disputes Act, no employer can fire employees without the prior permission of the government.
