Apart from this, many countries including Nicaragua, ecuador and venezuela in Latin America have seen a reduction in subscription prices. Asian countries include several countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Analysts say, 'This definitely goes against the recent trends not only for Netflix but for the streaming industry.'


A Netflix spokesperson said, 'We know that subscribers don't have many choices when it comes to entertainment, and Netflix is dedicated to providing an experience that exceeds their expectations.' In january last year, Netflix increased the price of its plans for subscribers in the US and Canada. Later in March, Netflix also increased its subscription prices for UK and ireland subscribers.
