The excitement for the 16th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by amitabh bachchan, has reached new heights with the announcement of its first crorepati—Chander Prakash. In a recent promo, viewers witnessed the touching moment when amitabh congratulated Chander on winning Rs 1 crore, leading to an emotional hug between the two and applause from Chander's mother.
Chander, a 22-year-old from Jammu & Kashmir, shared his inspiring journey on the show. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in economics from indira gandhi National Open university (IGNOU), he is also preparing for the highly competitive UPSC examination, aspiring to join the civil services.
During his time on the show, Chander opened up about the challenges he data-faced from birth. He underwent surgery shortly after he was born due to a medical issue, but complications from medication later affected his kidneys. Despite financial difficulties and setbacks, his parents persevered, ensuring he received the necessary treatment.
Chander’s story of resilience has resonated with many, and his determination to succeed in the UPSC exams exemplifies his strength.
KBC 16 airs on sony Entertainment television at 9 PM on weekdays, having premiered on august 12.
