Target to double the number of Global Capability Centers to 1000

The karnataka government has planned to reimburse rental costs, support in patent fees and give many types of tax exemptions to promote global outsourcing. It plans to double the number of Global Capability Centers (GCC) in the state to 1000 by 2029. This will also create millions of jobs. A draft policy in this regard was launched on Friday. The government hopes that it will earn about $50 billion from these new centers.

Preparations are on to bring forbes 2000 companies to Karnataka

State government's deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar wrote on the social media platform X that we want to bring about 15 percent of forbes 2000 companies to Karnataka. We will create about 1 million jobs in all sectors by the year 2030. With this scheme, karnataka will further strengthen its position as a global tech hub. These GCCs will help their companies in finance and research and development. Currently, there are about 1700 GCCs in the country. About 19 lakh people have got jobs through them.

The number of GCC employees will increase to 28 lakh

According to the recent report of NASSCOM, an organization of the IT industry, the number of GCCs in the country can be around 2200 by 2030. Through these, about 28 lakh people will be given jobs. In india, GCCs like Bengaluru very much. This is the reason why about one third of the country's GCCs are in this metro city. The state government will try to open these GCCs in Mangaluru, mysore and Tumkuru along with Bengaluru
