NCERT to Launch Free Online Courses for Class 11 & 12 Students
In a big step toward making quality education more accessible, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has announced free online courses for students of Classes 11 and 12. This initiative is aimed at helping students across india strengthen their understanding of key subjects while preparing for board exams and competitive tests.Registration Begins september 22, 2025Students will be able to enroll for these online courses starting September 22, 2025. The registration process will be completely free and available through the official NCERT portal.Flexible and Interactive LearningThe online courses will include video lectures, practice quizzes, downloadable notes, and live doubt-clearing sessions. The goal is to make learning engaging and easy to access, even for students in remote areas.Final Exam Scheduled for march 3, 2026After completing the course, students can take the final online assessment scheduled for March 3, 2026. This will test their understanding of the entire syllabus in a structured format.Certificate for High ScorersStudents who score 60% or above in the exam will receive a digital certificate of achievement from NCERT. This can be a valuable addition to their academic portfolio and help boost confidence before board exams.Subjects Likely to Be CoveredAlthough NCERT has not released the full subject list yet, the courses are expected to include Mathematics, Science, Economics, History, Political Science, and English, making them useful for both Science and Humanities students.Who Can ApplyThese courses are open to all Class 11 and 12 students from any school board across India. students just need a stable internet connection and a device (phone, tablet, or laptop) to participate.This move by NCERT is a significant step towards democratizing education and giving every student equal access to top-quality resources.
