Rajasthan Revises RTE Rules, Eases Access to Free School Admissions

The rajasthan government has revised the rules under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory education Act, 2009 (RTE), making it easier for parents to secure free admissions for their children in private schools under the 25% quota.

Key Changes in the Revised Rules

According to the updated notification:

  • Simplified documentation process for economically weaker section (EWS) and disadvantaged group (DG) applicants.
  • Clearer eligibility criteria to reduce confusion during application.
  • Streamlined online application system to ensure transparency and faster processing.
  • Measures to ensure timely reimbursement to private schools admitting students under the RTE quota.
