UP Police: No Vacancies Remain in Computer Operator Recruitment – Official Clarification

Balasahana Suresh
The Uttar Pradesh police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued an official clarification regarding the status of the Computer Operator recruitment process, stating that there are no vacant posts remaining under the earlier recruitment exercise. This update is important for aspirants and job seekers who have been following or preparing for the UP police Computer Operator exams, amid widespread rumours about vacancies being filled up.

1. Background of the Computer Operator Recruitment

Earlier, the UPPRPB had announced a recruitment drive for Computer Operator Grade-A posts, with a total of 1,352 vacancies notified for selection. Eligible candidates could apply online, and the process included a written examination and further selection stages.

This recruitment notification was part of the UP police Computer Operator Recruitment 2025–26, with online applications invited from 16December2025 to 15January2026.

Candidates were expected to have completed Class12 with Physics & Mathematics and a computer qualification (e.g., ‘O’ Level or equivalent) as per the eligibility criteria mentioned in the notification.

2. Official Statement: All Vacancies Filled

In a recent clarification issued by UPPRPB, it has been confirmed that all vacancies related to the Computer Operator recruitment under the 2023/2025 advertisement have been filled and no vacant position remains for this particular process.

The board emphasised that any rumours or unverified reports suggesting remaining vacancies are misleading and should not be trusted. Candidates are advised to rely only on official information from the UPPRPB website and authorised announcements.

3. What This Means for Aspirants

 No Open Vacancies Now

· The UPPRPB has stated that no posts remain vacant under the Computer Operator Grade‑A recruitment previously advertised.

 Official Updates Only

· Aspiring candidates should frequently check the official UPPRPB portal or trusted government job portals for new notifications or any fresh recruitments.

 Beware of Misinformation

· The board specifically warned against believing unofficial social media posts, SMS alerts, or unverified websites claiming “new vacancies” under the concluded recruitment process.

4. Future Recruitment Prospects in UP Police

Although the current Computer Operator recruitment has closed with all seats filled, the state is expected to open large‑scale police recruitment drives in 2026–27, including posts across several categories. This includes positions such as Sub‑Inspector, Constable, Radio Assistant Operator, and Computer Operator Grade‑A as part of broader staffing expansion plans.

Claims suggest that over 81,000 posts across the Uttar Pradesh police force will be filled during the financial year 2026‑27, offering extensive opportunities for job seekers in the law enforcement sector.

5. Tips for job Seekers

· Stay Updated: Regularly visit the official UPPRPB website and reliable government job portals for announcements of fresh recruitment notifications.

· Verify Information: Cross‑check any job update with official sources before acting on it.

· Prepare Holistically: For future UP police technical or operational posts, strong preparation in general knowledge, computer basics, reasoning, and typing skills is recommended.

Summary: The UP police has clarified that the recruitment cycle for Computer Operator Grade‑A posts announced earlier has been fully completed, and no vacancies remain open in that process. Aspiring candidates should monitor official UPPRPB communications for new recruitment opportunities in the coming months.
