- SSC has started the Hindi Translator recruitment process in april 2026

- Vacancies include multiple Group ‘B’ posts in central government departments
- Master’s degree in Hindi or English, OR
- Master’s degree in any subject with Hindi and english as compulsory/elective subjects, OR
- Bachelor’s degree with:
- Hindi + english proficiency
- And translation qualification or experience (for some posts)
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years (for most posts)
- SC/ST
- OBC
- PwD
- Government employees (as per rules)
- Indian citizens (main eligibility condition)
- Some posts may also allow Nepal/Bhutan citizens as per SSC rules
- Strong command over Hindi and English
- Good translation ability
- Basic grammar and comprehension skills
- Computer knowledge (for exam + job work)
- Translators in ministries
- Language officers in government departments
- Communication support staff
- Translating official documents (Hindi ↔ English)
- Drafting reports and notices
- Language correction and editing
- Pay Level: Level-6 (7th CPC)
- Approx starting salary: ₹35,000+ per month (in-hand varies)
