Now the youth of Ladakh has started a campaign to attract the attention of the whole world towards it. It has been named Last Run. In february next year, under this campaign, a marathon will be started on Pangong Lake. Know what is this campaign and the important things related to it-

Marathon will start on 20 february 2023

This marathon named Last Run will start on february 20. In this, a team of youth will marathon on Pangong Lake. This campaign has been started by a youth named Stan (Tsetan). He is also a part of the indian ice hockey team. It is being called the last run because in the coming time due to global warming, Pangong Lake will not be able to freeze. Tsetan says that this sight will be rare for the next generation if we don't pay attention to it now.


How much do you know about Pangong Lake?

Tsetan says that everyone knows about Pangong Lake, but few people know that glaciers in the mountains are melting rapidly. For this reason, Pangong Lake will also not freeze after some time. Pangong Lake is 700 sq.km. and is situated at an altitude of 14,000 feet. It is spread over the Indo-China data-border. From november to March, it freezes here with a thick layer. india has one-third of this lake while china has two-thirds.


The Guinness Book of World Records also tried

Tsetan has also shared some pictures and videos related to Pangong Lake on social media to attract the attention of the government as well. He says that we are trying to make the record for the world's highest frozen lake marathon. Ladakh Administration, army and Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council are also supporting this campaign.
