Gold prices fell by Rs 45 per gram as of today, october 28. With two days to go for Diwali, gold prices have dropped by Rs 45 per gram, giving some relief to jewelry lovers. Many people buy gold and silver jewelry for Dhanteras, the festival that precedes Diwali. In India's retail market today, the price of 1 gram of 22-carat gold is Rs 7,315 and the price of 1 gram of 24-carat gold is Rs 7,980. In the leading cities of tamil Nadu, Chennai, coimbatore and Madurai, 1 gram of 22-carat gold is selling at Rs 7,315 today, down by Rs 45. 1 Pown 22 carat is Rs.58,520. From yesterday to today, the price of gold has decreased by around 360 rupees. 1 gram of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 49 to Rs 7,980, while one bar of 24-carat gold fell by Rs 392 to Rs 63,840.
 Similar to the festival of Akshaya Trithiya, people buy gold and silver jewelry during the Dhanteras festival. Especially this festival is celebrated in many parts of North India. It is believed that performing Kubera Puja on that day and buying gold and silver items will increase wealth and prosperity. Apart from gold and silver jewelry, people do many good things on Dhanteras Day like investing in the stock market, buying a car, or buying a house.
 As a result, most of the jewelry stores in North india will be crowded on that day. It is said that the price of gold is likely to continue to rise as there are 2 more days to go. The silver price today in major cities of tamil Nadu is 107 rupees per gram. A kg of silver is selling at Rs.1,00,700.
