16 stones removed out of Rahul's bladder!!
Half a kilo of stones came out of the body: 16 stones came out of Rahul's bladder, who went for spine treatment, doctors treated like this
Doctors at the indian Spinal Injury Center (ISC) have removed 16 stones weighing 500 grams from the bladder of a paralyzed man. The patient came to ISIC for rehabilitation. During this investigation, urinary problems were detected in the patient. Doctors say that the patient is completely fine now.
Deepak, originally from Morena in Madhya Pradesh, had suffered a spinal cord injury two years ago after falling from a height at home. He was undergoing treatment at ISIC, where he received Dr. H.S. for the purpose of treatment and rehabilitation. Chhabra was referred. Dr. prashant Jain of ISIC said that all paralyzed patients have lower urinary tract infection, which affects the bladder and bowel. The victim's bladder was also not functioning properly, so a catheter had to be placed in her. This is called secondary neurogenic bladder. When the patient was examined, he had many stones in his bladder, which were growing slowly. After the X-ray, we got a CT scan done along with other tests. The CT scan revealed at least 16 stones in the bladder.
According to Dr. prashant Jain, neurogenic bladders are less prone to bladder (bladder) infection and are more prone to stone formation. This problem is common in most paralyzed patients, because their bladder is not functioning properly at this stage. The bladder acts as a storage unit in the body and it also works to remove urine from the body.
