In a first-of-its-kind action, odisha chief minister naveen patnaik on friday began 'Smart health Card', under the scheme of the Biju Swasthya kalyan Yojana (BSKY), even when the third wave of the pandemic rises over the nation. Recognized for his growing and people-friendly governance, odisha cm Patnaik has triumphantly cut a niche for himself in good governance. Of late he has been executing various schemes for the interest of the people of the state. In the last month, the odisha government announced puri as the first city in the nation to have city-wide safe drinking spout water which will be lengthened to 16 more towns in the upcoming days. The chief minister also began the one rupee rice project from Malkangiri, which is one of the most detached districts of Odisha.


The main conception of the chief minister behind this plan is 'Healthy odisha, Happy Odisha', said health minister Naba Dash who coined this move as a 'historical decision'. 


During the Smart Card launch, chief minister naveen patnaik said that this will guarantee a sufferer will get the best healthcare without any charge. Describing the action as historic, the chief minister said that health is vital for everyone and connected with the economics of the family. naveen patnaik further figured that the state government will now contribute money to the treatment. This will create an opportunity to save money and use it for the education of their children. The chief minister said that healthcare is granted in all government hospitals free of charge.
