The Union Ministry of health has issued guidelines for the prevention of monkeypox in India. The central government has issued guidelines for the control of monkeypox. Monkeypox has not yet entered India. However, as it is prevalent in many countries, the Federal Ministry of health has issued comprehensive guidelines to prevent it. It states that when treating patients with monkeypox, appropriate safety procedures and appropriate safety equipment should be used.
Items used by persons with the disease should not be used again. If you notice eye irritation, eye pain, blurred vision, difficulty breathing, or chest pain, the public should see a doctor immediately. Monkeypox sufferers and the total affected areas should be identified quickly. Those involved should be isolated to prevent further spread.
Detect and monitor those who have been in contact with them. Suspected samples of monkeypox should be sent to the National Virus Laboratory in pune for confirmation. people who have been in contact with monkeypox sufferers should be monitored daily for 21 days from the time of infection.
Health workers who treat patients and those who are home alone should maintain good hand hygiene. Wear masks. Similarly, all hospitals should closely monitor patients with symptoms of monkeypox. At the state level, governments should set up and monitor monitoring centers. Even if a person in the state is diagnosed with monkeypox, they should immediately collect information on how it spreads and where the infected person came from. It said the state and union territory governments should take all necessary steps.
